Sitapur Village Holds Ancient Relics and Sacred Site with Unique Traditions

Sitapur: In a village panchayat of Sitapur district, Uttar Pradesh, an ancient settlement exists atop the remains of an old ruined fort mound. The area houses a polling station and a primary school built on the surviving mound, which also contains an old well. Locals report hearing the sounds of pigs howling from the well between midnight and 3 a.m. Excavations up to 12 feet deep have revealed solid ground, skeletons, swords, and 8 to 9 feet long skeletal remains.

Nearby, another smaller mound of unknown age lies outside the settlement and is believed to be guarded by two serpent deities. The narrator has been performing rituals on this mound unknowingly since the age of 18, continuing for 22 years, especially on Diwali night. The narrator describes receiving blessings and protection from these deities and considers himself their servant, attributing all his well-being to their grace.
