Shri Chhote Shah Government Degree College Mendhar organized an Awareness Programme on SHE-BOX under the overall supervision of Prof. Mohd Sadeeq and the convenorship of Dr. Rehfit Naz Koser. The programme was aimed at creating awareness among girl students and staff members regarding the SHE-BOX portal and the mechanisms available for addressing grievances related to sexual harassment at workplaces and educational institutions.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of the worthy Officiating Principal, who emphasized the importance of maintaining a safe, secure, and gender-sensitive academic environment within the institution. During the session, participants were informed about the objectives and significance of SHE-BOX (Sexual Harassment Electronic Box), an online complaint management system launched by the Government of India for the registration and monitoring of complaints related to sexual harassment.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rehfit Naz Koser highlighted the role of the Women Development Cell and the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) in ensuring dignity, equality, and justice for women within the institution. She elaborated on the procedure for filing complaints through the SHE-BOX portal and encouraged students to remain aware of their rights and responsibilities.

Faculty members, including Dr. Sarshad Hussain, Dr. Mahroof Khan, Dr. Nighat Qazi, and Ms. Afsana Koser, along with a large number of girls students, actively participated in the programme and appreciated the initiative taken by the college administration.

The awareness session concluded with an interactive discussion during which participants shared their views and clarified queries related to womens safety, legal provisions, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
