The Honble Fast Track Special Court for speedy trial of Rape and POCSO cases at L.B. Nagar, Ranga Reddy District, convicted three accused persons in a case involving a 16-year-old minor girl. The accused were charged under the IPC and the POCSO Act. According to the complaint filed by the victims mother, she had separated from her husband and was working as a maid. During that period, she left her children in the care of her mother at Abubakar Colony, Kothapet.

, Mohammad Azeem s/o Mohammad Saleem, age 25, occupation: mason, resident of Abubakar Colony, Kothapet village, Balapur Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, was found guilty of repeatedly committing sexual intercourse with the minor by using force and threats. He was sentenced to undergo life imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs. 22,000.

, Mohammad Haleem s/o Mohammad Saleem, age 31, occupation: labour, resident of Abubakar Colony, Kothapet village, Balapur Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, was convicted for his role in threatening the complainant and victim and for forcibly making the victim consume abortifacient tablets that caused a miscarriage. He was sentenced to three years imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs. 6,000.

, Smt. Jameela Begum w/o Mohammad Saleem, age 60, occupation: housewife, resident of Abubakar Colony, Kothapet village, Balapur Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, was likewise convicted for participating in the threats and forcing the victim to ingest pregnancy tablets causing miscarriage. She was sentenced to three years imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs. 6,000.

The court also awarded victim compensation of Rs. 4,00,000.
