Every Child Is Talented; They Only Need Nurturing": Baljinder Mann
Hoshiarpur /Daljeet Ajnoha/May 15
"Every child is talented; they only need guidance to polish their abilities," said renowned children's literature author Baljinder Mann while addressing students at Government Senior Secondary School, Rampur Jhanjowal. The remarks came during an art programme organized by the school's Eco Club under the supervision of in-charge Kulvinder Singh.
Mann emphasized the crucial role teachers play in nurturing students' artistic interests. "Teachers who love the arts make a vital contribution to the development of children's creative skills," he said, praising Eco Club convenor Madam Haneesha and other staff members for their efforts. He noted that the school has been producing students who excel across various fields.
Mann also mentioned that a Cultural Club has been set up at the school under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, where the school management and teachers have significant roles. He urged students to reduce screen time and devote more hours to reading books. "Protecting the environment has become everyone's primary responsibility," he added.
To encourage reading, Nicky Karumbalan Publications presented sets of books to the students.
The Eco Club members displayed their artistic creations at an exhibition judged by Bahadur Singh and Madam Manjinder Kaur. Pallaveen Kaur won first prize, Gursimran Saini took second, and Alam received the third prize. All club members were commended for their enthusiasm.
Students, teachers and parents attended the event. Eco Club in-charge Madam Haneesha extended a vote of thanks.
