Grand Welcome Accorded to Satyatmatheertha Sripadangal During Mysuru Digvijaya Yatra

Mysuru, May 15: Satyatmatheertha Sripadangal, who is undertaking a 33-day Digvijaya Yatra in Mysuru, was accorded a grand traditional welcome on his arrival in the city on Thursday evening. Upon reaching Mysuru, Sripadangal offered floral tributes to the idol of Ayodhya Balarama and the portrait of Satyapramodatheertha Swamiji before ceremonially flagging off the Maharaja-style procession from College Grounds to Uttaradi Mutt in Fort Mohalla.

The colourful procession featured several traditional and cultural performances, including naadaswara, veeragase, chande, nagari, dollu kunitha, Udupi baana birusu, and bhajana mandalis. A specially decorated chitharada aane troupe from Chennai also participated in the event, attracting large crowds along the route.

Several political leaders, community representatives, and social workers were present during the occasion. Among them were T.S. Srivatsa, H.V. Rajeev, K.R. Satyanarayana, D.T. Prakash, Raghuram Vajpayee, Mahesh Kamath, S.T. Vasudevamurthy, and N.M. Naveen Kumar.
