Odisha Expands NH-53 to 8-Lane Highway for Paradip Port
Odisha: The state is developing its first 8-lane highway by expanding a 77-kilometer stretch of National Highway 53 (NH-53) from Chandikhole to Paradip Port. This infrastructure project, estimated at ₹3,500 crore, aims to transform the existing 4-lane industrial corridor into an 8-lane expressway.
The expansion is expected to significantly improve cargo movement to Paradip Port, a key maritime hub. This development is anticipated to contribute to India's broader economic growth objectives by enhancing logistics and transportation efficiency in the region.
