Mumbai: Abraham Mathai Faces Additional Charges in 50 Crore Navis Scam

Mumbai: Abraham Mathai's troubles have intensified as multiple complaint petitions have been filed against him in the MPID court, seeking his inclusion as a co-accused in the high-profile 50 crore Navis investment scam. This case has garnered significant attention, with the court's decision eagerly awaited by the public. The scam is linked to the Christian community, where many poor and needy individuals invested their lifetime savings, only to be defrauded.

The scam involves Octavia Navis, who lured several Christian investors by promising profits linked with religious faith. When the investors realized the fraud, they approached the MPID court. Abraham Mathai, associated with the Harmony Foundation, is alleged to have diverted scam money to the foundation. Complaints by investors, including Rajesh Kanoja, Ram Kanoja, and actress Archana Damohe, have been lodged at various police stations such as Vakola and Varsava. Additionally, allegations claim Mathai blackmailed priests, businessmen, and used individuals like George Mendonsa, Khan, and Sheikh from Lemon News for his benefit. The case has exposed widespread deception of hundreds of poor Christian investors, and the court's ruling is being closely watched by Mumbai residents.
