Border Exposure Tour Organized by NCC Wing, Government

The NCC Wing of Government Degree College Rajouri, under the able guidance of
Professor Dr. Anwar Shah, organized a Border Exposure Tour on 9 May 2026.The tour
commenced at 8:30 a.m. from the college premises. A total of 80 NCC cadets participated in the
tour, including 45 cadets from the SD (Senior Division) Wing and 35 cadets from the SW (Senior
Wing Girls) Wing. The overall supervision of the tour was carried out by Major Tanwir Ahmad
Chaudhary, accompanied by Dr. Shazia Kouser, CTO, NCC and faculty members Dr. Azar Javed,
Dr. Makdoom Chauhan, Dr. Imshaan Chaudhary, and Dr. Bisma Jaan, along with other supporting
staff members. The convoy, comprising two video coaches and one SUV, traveled through Rajouri,
the Army Sarol Camp, the Keri Sector, and the border road, eventually reaching the Veer
Bhadreshwar Viewpoint at 11:25 a.m., where the contingent received a warm welcome from the
Indian Army. The cadets were accorded a grand reception, and their visit to the historic Veer
Bhadreshwar Temple proved to be both inspiring and emotionally enriching. An interactive session
was later conducted by Major Tanwir Ahmad Chaudhary, during which he highlighted the
achievements, discipline, and activities of NCC cadets. The session was further enriched by an
informative lecture delivered by Lieutenant Akash, who guided the cadets regarding career
opportunities in the armed forces, including special entry schemes and recruitment in defense
services. The interactive session lasted for nearly an hour and was followed by an impressive
weapon display and a drone demonstration, offering the cadets valuable exposure to modern
defense technology and operational strategies. The program concluded with high tea, group
photographs, and a sumptuous lunch. The tour proved to be highly educational, motivational, and
memorable for all the participants. The formal permission and sanction for the visit to Peer
Badreshwar were granted by the GOC of the 25th Infantry Division, along with the Deputy GOC.
They assured us of their full cooperation in all aspects of the NCC program, ensuring that the
cadets would be provided with valuable exposure opportunities. In addition, the 25 Madras
Regiment coordinated the entire visit, providing the students with all necessary facilities and
working closely with our NCC wing, thereby contributing significantly to the success of this
