NS Raja Subramani Appointed As Next Chief of Defence Staff (CDS)

New Delhi, May 10, AIMA Media News: Lieutenant General (Retired) NS Raja Subramani was appointed as the next Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) on Saturday. Effective from the date he assumes charge, he will also serve as the Secretary of the Department of Military Affairs. This former military officer will take over from General Anil Chauhan, who is set to complete his tenure as CDS on May 30 of this year.

Lieutenant General Subramani currently serves as the Military Advisor at the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS). He retired from the Army on July 31 last year, having served as the Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS). He served in various capacities within the Indian Army for 39 years.
