Student leader to bengal cm the rise of suvendu Adhikari:
15 december 1970 suvendu Adhikari is born as one of the three sons of tmc veteran and formar lok sobha member sisir Adhikari in east Medinipur's tamluk.1988 he secures his first electoral victory in the students union elections at pravat kumar college in contai,where earns his BA Degree.He contests as chatra Parishad candidate.he wins election as a councillor for the Congress in the contai municipality.
2006 he enters the West Bengal legislative assembly after winning the kanthi dakshin constituency.2007 Adhikari co leads the anti land acquisition movement, a massive campaign that eventually topples the 34 year cpim rule in 2011. 2009 he wins the lok sabha elections from the tamluk constituency on a tmc ticket,defeating cpi(m )'s lakshman seth by a mergin of 172,958 votes
SHIFT TO BJP
2020 Resigns from the tmc and his cabinet posts amid alleged friction with Abhishek Banerjee and election strategist Prashant Kishor
2021 defeats mamata Banerjee in her own challenge at nandigram by a narrow margin of 1956 votes.
2026 he defeats mamata Banerjee again this time in her Kolkata bastion of bhabanipur while simultaneously retaining his nandigram seat and cementing his claim to the chief minister's office
