BJP Nagar Mandal holds public protest march and rally in Bijepur

A public protest march and rally was held by the BJP Nagar Mandal in Bijepur, Bargarh district, on the issue of implementing the Nari Shakti Bandhan Act-2026. BJP workers protested, alleging that the opposition Congress-led indiment is opposing the act. Under the supervision of senior leader Sunaphula Seth, Women Morcha President Bhumisuta Kand and Councilor Samari Meher, a large number of women took out a march carrying placards from Ramji Temple. They reached the bus stand shouting slogans. Later, effigies of Rahul Gandhi and Mamata Banerjee were burnt there. On this occasion, the leaders said that the BJP is committed to ensuring the political rights of women and the opposition's opposition will be responded to through agitation in the coming days. Many activists including Padmabati Deheri, Jugeshwari Seth, Krishna Bhuye, Kasturi Tariya, Sevati Meher, Sanju Padhan, Sarat Bishi , Janardhan Panigrahi, Jogindra Padhan, Antarayami Meher and Nilamani Meher were present at the event organized by Nagar Mandal President Mahesh Debta.
