Puttaparthi Inaugurates Advanced Cardiac Cath Lab at Sathya Sai Hospital

Puttaparthi: The Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences has inaugurated a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab, marking a significant milestone in free super-specialty heart care. The hospital, established by Sri Sathya Sai Baba with the principle 'Treatment should never stop for lack of money,' has been offering free cardiac treatments for over three decades, serving millions of families.

The new Shimadzu Trinias C-12 cath lab, costing Rs. 3.78 crores, was inaugurated by Sri Sathya Sai Trust member R J Ratnakar. This is the second advanced cath lab introduced within two years at the hospital. Equipped with AI-based image processing and PISA-based SCORE Opera imaging technology, it enhances diagnostic accuracy while reducing radiation exposure. The hospital's cardiology department has provided consultations to approximately 1.6 million patients and conducted thousands of free complex heart surgeries, emphasizing compassionate care without discrimination.

Beyond cardiac care, the hospital also offers extensive orthopedic services, embodying the spiritual ethos taught by Sri Sathya Sai Baba: 'Love All – Serve All.' Dr. Chinta Prabhakar Reddy, a cardiac and thoracic surgeon from Government General Hospital, Kurnool, endorses the institution's commitment to serving the poor with humanity and advanced medical technology.
