Odisha Panchayat Official Returns Government Money After Error

Hatdihi: Ravindra Jena, a 66-year-old resident of Biranchi Pur village under Hatdihi Mareigaon Panchayat, had not received his two months’ pension. Due to an error by government employees, he was credited with Rs 13,000 for two months but had only retained Rs 2,000, returning the remaining amount.

The Panchayat President, Sushree Sangita Chakra, was called upon to retrieve the excess amount, highlighting Ravindra's honesty. Ranjan Kumar Parida from Hatdihi expressed gratitude and best wishes to Ravindra for his integrity.
