Shri Ajay Singh Yadav Takes Charge as Head of Project at NTPC Talcher Kaniha
Talcher Kaniha, May 6, 2026: Shri Ajay Singh Yadav has taken over the charge of Head of Project (HOP) at NTPC Talcher Kaniha, the third largest power generating station of NTPC Limited, the Maharatna company of Govt of India.
With a cumulative experience of more than 36 years in NTPC, Shri Yadav brings strong technical expertise and leadership acumen. His professional journey in NTPC started on 5th September 1989 as an Executive Trainee in the Mechanical stream.
Shri Yadav holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon.
During his illustrious career, he has worked in various technical and non-technical domains such as fuel handling, operations and maintenance functions, project management and corporate planning. He has served at major NTPC stations including Korba, Anta, Khargone and Tanda as well as at the NTPC Corporate Centre in New Delhi. He has also served as Head of Project, Talaipalli Coal Mining.
Shri Yadav is known for his focus on safety, efficiency and planning. He has also attended several inhouse and external training programs in leadership, risk management, safety systems.
In his new role at NTPC Talcher Kaniha, his primary focus would be to strengthen operational performance with sustainability and build stronger relationships with the external stakeholders and the community.
