Lady Narco Smuggler Arrested with Heroin in Udhampur

Udhampur: As part of the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, Udhampur Police intensified efforts to combat drug abuse. During a naka/traffic check at Phalata Chowk on NHW, a police party from Police Station Rehambal intercepted a bus with registration No. JK02DL-6207. A woman passenger identified as Parveen Akhter W/o Parvez Iqbal R/o Ward No. 60, Janipur Jammu, was found suspicious.

Upon personal search, heroin weighing 8.87 grams concealed in a poly pack was recovered from her handbag. FIR No. 100/2026 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal. Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
