Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam Claims Government Formation in Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu: The political landscape in Tamil Nadu is undergoing a historic transformation following the 2026 Assembly Elections. Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay has officially met Governor Rajendra Arlekar to stake his claim to form the government.
TVK emerged as the single largest party with 108 seats. The Congress party has officially severed its 55-year alliance with the DMK to support TVK with its 5 MLAs, bringing the coalition to 113 seats, just 5 seats short of the 118 majority mark required to form the government.
