***Kohinoor Times Organises Grand Mushaira at Language Department Office

Hoshiarpur/ May 6//Daljeet Ajnoha Kohinoor Times, in collaboration with the District Language Officer, Hoshiarpur, organised a splendid mushaira at the Language Department office in the Administrative Complex. The event saw participation not only from renowned poets of Hoshiarpur but also from Jalandhar district and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar.
The proceedings were presided over by Mahinder Jhammat, Pawan Fambian, Gurdip Saini, and Research Officer Dr. Jaswant Rai. Welcoming the poets, Mahinder Jhammat said Kohinoor Times is holding this platform event as part of its quarterly Kavi Darbar series to promote the Punjabi language. The series will continue at various locations, featuring different poets. At each event, the organisation will honour one litterateur, with the inaugural award being presented today to Research Officer Dr. Jaswant Rai for his writings and research contributions.
The mushaira featured poets including Harjinder Singh Jindi (Jalandhar), Deep Jagtpuri (Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar), Kamal Nayan, Ravi Singh, Ramnik Singh Ghumman, Balwinder Kaur Lagana, Ranjeet Posi, Sodhi Satowali, Dr. P.K. Chauhan, Hardial Hoshiarpuri, Teerath Chand Saroa, Rajiv Rampi, Rajindarpal Singh Safari, Harpreet Singh Safari, Mandeep Singh, Laali Kartarpuria, Gurdip Singh Saini, Lecturer Jaswinder Singh Jassi, and Mahinder Jhammat. They enthralled the audience with nazms delivered in unique styles and melodies, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
In his presidential address, Dr. Jaswant Rai welcomed all poets to the Language Department. He stated that the department is continuously working to promote Punjabi language and culture. Writers can get their works published in the department's journalsJan Sahit, Punjabi Duniya, Punjab Saurabh, and Pravaz-e-Adaband submit their unpublished creations. Commenting appreciatively on the presented works, he thanked Kohinoor Times for the event and the honour.
On the occasion, Kohinoor Times presented mementos to all participating poets as a special gesture. Stage proceedings were ably conducted by poet Jaswinder Jassi. Poets, literature enthusiasts, Lal Singh, Pushpa Rani, and others were present.
