Parbatigiri Womens College, Bargarh Initiates Systematic Alumni Database for Institutional Growth

In a significant step towards strengthening institutional development and meeting accreditation standards, the Principal of Parbatigiri Womens College, Bargarh, Nandini Nirod Panda has initiated the implementation of a Systematic Alumni Database and Tracking System.

Addressing all Heads of Departments, and staff members, the Principal stated that a comprehensive alumni database is essential for tracking student progression, building stronger industry-academia linkages, and fulfilling mandatory requirements of NAAC and other accreditation agencies.

As part of the action plan, a dedicated WhatsApp group will be created for former students to ensure seamless communication. Further, two active students from every academic session will be nominated as alumni coordinators to trace old students and collect updated contact details.

To streamline data collection, information regarding alumnis present job status, higher education, and achievements will be gathered through Google Forms designed by the IQAC. The responsibility of building and maintaining this database has been entrusted to staff members C.M.Pradhan, Rashmita Mallick, Binodini Bariha, Reshma Meher, Simi Begum, Sonali Pradhan, Meenakhsi Meher, Meenakhsi Chinda, Anita Pradhan, Lipika Purohit, Soudamini Rout and Lipsa Mishra under the Supervision of IQAC Co-ordinator, Smt. Madhusmita Nanda.

The principal emphasized that a dynamic alumni network will not only help in mentoring current students but also enhance placement opportunities and institutional support. The first compilation of alumni data has been targeted for submission by 31st July 2026, with quarterly updates thereafter.

This initiative reflects the Colleges commitment to quality enhancement and proactive engagement with its alumni for the holistic development of the institution.
