Ahmedabad Congress Files Complaint Against Naroda Ward Elected Member

Ahmedabad: The Congress party has officially filed a complaint regarding a serious issue in the recent local self-government election in Naroda ward. Dr. Chandaben Vitthalbhai Patel, elected from Naroda ward, allegedly provided false and misleading information about her educational qualifications in her election affidavit. The candidate presented herself as a "Doctor (Dr.)" to gain voter trust and also displayed this title on the ballot paper. Preliminary information suggests that the degree mentioned is either not issued by a recognized authority or is suspicious.

Jigar Suryakantbhai Vyas, the Congress candidate from Naroda ward, submitted the complaint to the district administration and police. The Congress party believes that if these facts are proven true, it would amount to deliberately misleading voters and affecting the election process, which contradicts democratic values. The party demands an immediate and impartial investigation into the educational qualifications claimed by Dr. Patel. If found false, they seek cancellation of her membership and criminal proceedings under relevant laws. The Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee, represented by spokesperson Hemang Mahipataram Rawal, has committed to pursuing the legal battle to uphold transparency and voter trust.
