In view of the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Telangana on May 10, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao held a review meeting on Thursday at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat to assess the arrangements.
The Chief Secretary reviewed the preparedness for the Prime Ministers visit and directed officials of all departments to work in coordination and ensure comprehensive arrangements.
During the visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate several development projects and also address a public meeting. Accordingly, the Chief Secretary instructed the Police Department to make necessary security, law and order, traffic, and bandobast arrangements as per the Blue Book protocol.
Officials of the Fire Services Department were directed to deploy adequate fire tenders at Begumpet Airport, helipads, and all event venues. The Health Department was instructed to ensure necessary medical facilities.
The Police, GHMC, and Roads & Buildings Department were asked to inspect all routes of the Prime Ministers convoy and complete any required repairs on a war footing. The Electricity Department was directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply in all areas of the visit.
He emphasized that all departments must work in close coordination to ensure the successful conduct of the Prime Ministers visit.
