Chennai: Vijay's TMC Leads Tamil Nadu Election Results

Chennai: The political scenario in Tamil Nadu remains tense following the latest election results. Vijay's party, the Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC), has emerged as the single largest party, securing 108 out of 234 seats. The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) won 59 seats, while the Anna DMK secured 47 seats. The magic number to form the government is 118, and Vijay's party requires the support of at least 10 more members to achieve this majority.

Congress won 5 seats, and the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) added another 5 members. Left-wing parties hold 4 seats, and the Muslim United Indian League (MUIL) has 2 seats. Vijay has already initiated consultations with various parties, including a Congress faction in Tamil Nadu that appears willing to ally with him. Prominent leaders are queuing up to meet Vijay, who also requested the governor's appointment. A meeting with party MLAs is scheduled shortly.
