Book on Dr. Abdul Jaleel Faridi Launched in Lucknow
Lucknow: A book on Dr. Abdul Jaleel Faridi authored by Masoom Moradabadi was launched under the auspices of the Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys’ Association at Hotel Arif Castle. Former Member of Parliament Mohammad Adeeb praised Dr. Faridi as a sincere and farsighted leader who organized the Muslim community politically and contributed significantly to national and community welfare. Adeeb described Dr. Faridi’s struggle as a prelude to a social revolution not fully understood in its time.
Professor Ramesh Dixit highlighted Dr. Faridi’s role in shaping effective Muslim politics and his collaboration with secular forces while opposing fascism. Noted scholar Dr. Masood-ul-Hasan Usmani emphasized Dr. Faridi’s intellectual and political contributions during sensitive post-independence times. The event also featured remarks by Mohammad Owais Sambhali, Syed Mohammad Shoaib, Shehla Haq, Padma Shri Praveen Talha, Dr. Suhail Ahmad Farooqui, Masoom Moradabadi, and Dr. Faridi’s granddaughter Farah Arif, all recognizing Dr. Faridi’s legacy and the importance of promoting his ideology and history.
