Kendujhar Film Academy Hosts Feast with Ghungi Tribal Community

Kendujhar: During the summer vacation, members of the Kendujhar Film Academy and the voluntary organization "Asha" organized a communal feast for the tribal people of Ghungi village, located under Kodipasha Panchayat in Banspal block. The event took place last Sunday and was specially arranged to spend time with the neglected tribal community, especially the elderly, who enjoyed the meal with satisfaction.

Ghungi village is a remote area situated beneath hills and amidst forests, inhabited predominantly by the Juang tribe with around 150 people living in poverty. The village remains largely neglected by administration, with only drinking water recently supplied. Recognizing these hardships, "Asha" has been actively involved in welfare activities. The Film Academy members visited the village to observe the living conditions and engage with the locals to understand their issues. Both the tribal residents and "Asha" volunteers expressed gratitude towards the Film Academy members for organizing the event and spending time with them.
