Karnataka to Experience Rainfall Till May 9, Thunderstorms Expected

Bengaluru: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast widespread rainfall across Karnataka, including Bengaluru, until May 9. Several parts of the coastal, north interior, and south interior regions are expected to experience rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. Light showers are anticipated in districts such as Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Dakshina Kannada, and Udupi.

However, dry weather conditions will prevail for the next two days in several north interior districts, including Bagalkot, Gadag, Haveri, Vijayapura, Belagavi, Bidar, and Dharwad. The IMD also noted that light rainfall is likely from May 5 in districts like Koppal, Yadgir, Raichur, and Kalaburagi. Bengaluru is expected to have a maximum temperature of 33°C and a minimum of 22°C, while Raichur may reach a high of 41°C and a low of 29°C. Residents are advised to remain alert for sudden weather changes, especially in areas prone to thunderstorms and lightning.
