Parameshwara Confirms CM Ambition, Rules Out Public Campaign
Bengaluru: Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara has acknowledged his aspiration to become Chief Minister but emphasized that he prefers not to publicly campaign or lobby for the position. He stated that he has already conveyed his intentions privately to the party leadership and stressed his belief in following party discipline and channels for such ambitions.
Parameshwara expressed confidence in his capabilities and noted that the party high command is aware of his experience. While refraining from speculating on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's recommendations, he affirmed that the final decision rests with the party leadership. He also expressed support for senior leader Mallikarjun Kharge if chosen, highlighting his respect for organizational decisions amidst ongoing discussions about leadership and Dalit representation in Karnataka's Congress party.
