Meeting Held with Transgender Protection Cell on Welfare Issues in District

Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Dr. Nidhi Kamud Bambah chaired a meeting with the district's Transgender Protection Cell to discuss transgender rights, including access to healthcare facilities, skill-training courses, and transgender identity cards.
She informed that a Transgender Protection Cell has been constituted in the district to address complaints from the transgender community. Additionally, any transgender individual can register their grievances via the helpline number 112.
The meeting was attended by District Social Security Officer Naresh Kumar, DSP Headquarters Kartar Singh, Project Manager from Shaan Foundation, members of the transgender community, and representatives from various departments.
