Rally on Nasha Mukht Bharat
Under the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Tehsil Administration Mendhar, J&K Police SCS Government Degree College Mendhar, Govt Higher Secondries and GGM School Mendhar organized a massive anti-drug awareness rally today on 29 April 2026. The rally commenced from the college campus, passed through the main market of Mendhar, and concluded back at the college after covering major public areas to spread awareness against drug abuse. A large number of students, faculty members, local residents, and members of Beopar Mandhar actively participated in the rally. The participants raised powerful slogans highlighting the harmful effects of drug abuse and emphasizing the importance of building a drug-free society. A huge gathering was addressed near Bus Stand Mendhar by prominent dignitaries including Tehsildar Mendhar Rahul Ji Basotra, SDPO Mendhar Mr. Tussif Ahmed, and SHO Mendhar Mr. Habib Pathan. In their addresses, they stressed the urgent need for collective social responsibility to eradicate the menace of drugs from society. Dr. Mohd. Riaz, NCORD Coordinator of the college, also addressed the gathering and highlighted the crucial role of educational institutions, youth, and civil society in combating substance abuse. He urged students and the public to remain vigilant and work together for a healthier and safer future. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from all sections of society, making it a successful awareness campaign aimed at promoting the message of a drug-free India. The event concluded with renewed commitment from participants to continue spreading awareness and supporting the mission of Nasha Mukt Bharat.
