Bharatanatyam dancer Rishika Bishnoi tops finals
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/April 28
Rishika Bishnoi, a talented Bharatanatyam dancer, excelled in the finals of the Bharatanatyam Sangeet Bhushan examination for the 2025 academic session, organized by Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh. Securing 73.3 percent marks, she showcased her exceptional skills and proved that whether in service or the arts, she remains at the top.
This young girl, who developed a special affinity for dance at just four years old, views Bharatanatyam as a stress reliever and began rigorous training in dance and the arts. Rishika believes that in today's stress-filled era, music and dance are a form of devotion (sadhana), where the guru sees his own reflection in his disciples. The guru-shishya tradition remains vibrantly alive in Bharatanatyam.
Having earned respect through humanitarian service and the title of "The Most Inspiring Girl of Earth," this young dancer credits her success to her mother, advocate Nisha Bishnoi; father, Dr. Bhupendra, a Vastu expert; guru Sarswati Sharma; and grand guru Rajesh Sharma.
A Class 10 student at Lucky International School, Rishika has set eight world records across various fields, won over 1,750 awards, and planted more than 6,000 saplings while leading initiatives in every domain. She has also carved a niche as a national shooter, qualifying three times as a 10-meter national rifle shooter and clinching a national silver medal.
