*English Day Celebrations at GDC Paloncha*

The Department of English, Government Degree College, Paloncha, organized 'English Day' celebrations on April 23. The date marks both the birth and death anniversary of William Shakespeare and is also observed as 'World English Language Day' by UNESCO.

The event paid tribute to Shakespeare’s immense contribution to English literature. Principal Prof. P. Padma, Vice Principal Dr. Jai Madhavi, HoD English Dr. T. Arun Kumari, and faculty members Dr. Sri Leela Soumya and Sri E. Bhanu Praveen participated.

Teaching, non-teaching staff, and students together offered floral tributes to Shakespeare’s portrait and made the event a success. Students shared insights on the relevance of Shakespeare’s works in today’s world.
