✍️ The Thirty-Seventh International Training Programme in Legislative Drafting (ILD), being organised by PRIDE, Lok Sabha Secretariat, under the ITEC Scheme of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, concluded today.

Shri Anjani Kumar, Joint Secretary, Lok Sabha Secretariat, graced the valedictory function of the programme and addressed the participants.

In his address, he underscored the critical importance of possessing requisite skills in legislative drafting, noting that well-drafted laws have a profound impact on all aspects of public life. He also highlighted the visionary emphasis laid by the Hon’ble Speaker, Lok Sabha, Shri Om Birla, on promoting clarity and accessibility in law-making.

He congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the programme and expressed appreciation for the positive feedback received regarding its content and delivery.

Participants from various countries expressed their appreciation for the thoughtfully curated programme, which combined academic rigour with practical insights.They particularly acknowledged the inclusion of cultural components, which provided them with a deeper understanding of India’s rich heritage and democratic ethos.

The programme witnessed the participation of 43 participants from 18 countries, reflecting its global outreach and significance in strengthening legislative capacities across jurisdictions.
