J&K Police in Shopian Destroys Illegal Poppy Cultivation; FIR Registered

Continuing its sustained crackdown against the drug menace, Shopian Police acted on specific intelligence regarding illegal poppy cultivation in the Sadipora area of the district.

Acting swiftly on the information, a police team from Police Post Sadipora reached the location and discovered poppy cultivation on the land belonging to an individual identified as Mohd Ayoub Thoker son of Ab Ahad Thoker a resident of Pudsoo.
The illegal crop was destroyed on the spot. Subsequently, Case FIR No. 27/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Heerpora.

Shopian Police reaffirmed its firm commitment to eradicating the drug menace and urged the public to cooperate by sharing any information related to drug abuse or illegal cultivation.
