Joint Inspection of Medical Shops Conducted in Mendhar; One Shop Sealed for Violations #Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan

As part of the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan”, District Police Poonch, in coordination with the Medical Team and Executive Magistrate, conducted a joint inspection of medical shops in the Mendhar area to ensure strict compliance with prescribed norms governing the sale of medicines.

The inspection drive focused on adherence to regulatory provisions, including maintenance of sale records, computerized billing, and proper functioning of CCTV surveillance systems.

During the course of inspection, one medical establishment, Naweed Medical Shop, Sakhi Maidan, Mendhar, was found violating the prescribed norms issued by the competent regulatory authority. Accordingly, necessary action was taken, and the establishment was sealed on the spot by the Executive Magistrate in the presence of the Medical Team.

District Police Poonch reiterates its commitment to supporting regulatory enforcement and preventing misuse of pharmaceutical drugs. The public is urged to cooperate with authorities and report any suspicious or illegal activities related to the sale of medicines.
