## Telangana Announces 50-Day Summer Vacation for Schools
**Last bell to ring on Thursday; new academic year to commence from June 12**
The 2025-26 academic year in the state of Telangana will conclude this Thursday, marking the beginning of approximately **50 days of summer vacation** starting from **April 24**. Schools are scheduled to reopen for the new 2026-27 academic year on **June 12**.
According to the Education Department:
* **Summative Assessment-II (SA-II)** exams were completed on April 18.
* **Results** will be announced this Thursday.
* **Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM)** will also be held on the same day.
Meanwhile, the Director of School Education, **Dr. E. Naveen Nicolas**, has issued instructions to relevant officials regarding teachers deployed on **OD (On Duty)** basis during the 2025-26 academic year. He directed that these teachers should not be relieved on April 23 in view of the upcoming summer holidays.
