Rajouri Police Arrested Drug Peddler with Narcotic Substance in Rajouri

Continuing its sustained drive against drug trafficking under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan Rajouri Police achieved success during routine naka checking at Bhella Naka. During the naka checking the police party intercepted a pedestrian who during questioning disclosed his identity as

1. Shahid Khan S/O Shabir Ahmed R/O Azmatabad Thanamandi Rajouri.

During his search the police recovered 100 boxes containing 10,000 tablets of Tapentadol along with 03 injections of Tramadol Hydrochloride from his possession.

The accused was immediately taken into custody, and the recovered contraband was seized after following all legal formalities.

In this regard a case FIR No. 178/2026 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at the concerned Police Station. Further investigation is underway to ascertain forward and backward linkages and to identify other persons involved in the illicit trade.
