In a key initiative under the Punjab government's education revolution campaign, MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa today inaugurated new classrooms built at a cost of ₹7.50 lakh at the Government Elementary School in Bajwara. Speaking on the occasion, he stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is relentlessly working to improve government schools and provide better educational facilities to students.
MLA Jimpa emphasized that strengthening the infrastructure of government schools is a top priority for the state government. "Towards this goal, we are ensuring new classrooms, modern facilities, clean environments, and quality education in schools, so that children from rural and urban areas alike receive superior schooling," he said. These reforms in education, he added, will lay the foundation for a bright future for the state's children.
He noted that earlier, lack of facilities in government schools forced parents to send their children to private institutions. "But now, the Punjab government is modernizing and equipping government schools, steadily building public trust in the state education system," Jimpa said. "Investing in education is like investing in the future, and our government is fully committed to this direction."
On the occasion, school staff and local residents thanked MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa, stating that the new classrooms would provide students with a better learning environment. They also praised the Punjab government's development efforts in the education sector.
The event was attended by Sub-Divisional Education Officer Amandeep Sharma, Sarpanch Rajesh Kumar Babboo, departmental officials, SMC members, teachers, students, and a large number of local residents.
