Plea in SC seeks contempt, NBW against businessman Satinder Bhasin
NEW DELHI: (Apr 21) A plea has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking contempt proceedings and issuance of non-bailable warrants against businessman Satinder Singh Bhasin for not surrendering in connection with the alleged Grand Venice Mall scam despite the apex court's order.
The top court had on April 2 set aside the bail granted to Bhasin, the director of Bhasin Infotech and Infrastructure Private Limited (BIIPL), and directed him to surrender before the jail authorities within a week.
Investors in the upscale projects in Greater Noida had claimed that they were duped by the developer BIIPL.
