Bengali diaspora supports regime change in WB, keen to invest: BJP
KOLKATA: (Apr 20) The BJP on Monday claimed that the Bengali diaspora was in favour of regime change in West Bengal and expressed willingness to invest in the state.
Addressing a press conference here, state BJP president Samik Bhattacharya alleged that the ruling Trinamool Congress "failed" to create an investment-friendly environment, leading to an "exodus of companies from the state".
He said Bengalis working in countries such as the US, the UK, Australia and Singapore lent support to the saffron party, asserting that a “change in West Bengal has become imperative".
