Two labourers die as truck comes in contact with high power line in MP's Morena
MORENA (MP): (Apr 20) Two labourers were electrocuted to death after their mini truck came in contact with a high-tension power line in Madhya Pradesh's Morena district, police said on Monday.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening, they said, adding that eight other labourers managed to save their lives by jumping from the moving vehicle immediately after the electric shock.
The labourers were being transported from Agra by a contractor to work at a wedding ceremony in Chandupura village under the Matabasaiya police station area of the district. They were hired as waiters and crockery handlers for a daily wage of Rs 500, according to police.
