Nari Shakti Bill: Opposition’s behaviour akin to Draupadi’s ‘Cheer Haran’, says MP CM

BHOPAL: (Apr 20) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday claimed that the Opposition insulted women by obstructing the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan’ bill, likening its action to Draupadi’s ‘Cheer Haran’ (disrobing) in the Mahabharata.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP state headquarters here, Yadav said the bill aimed to empower women and secure their rights.

“This was not an ordinary bill but a significant step towards empowering women,” he said.
