SP will form govt in UP in 2027, will have Congress with us: Akhilesh

CHANDIGARH: (Apr 20) Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday said his party will return to power in Uttar Pradesh after next year's assembly polls and expressed confidence that the opposition alliance will remain united.

Yadav, who was in Rewari for a wedding ceremony, targeted the BJP, saying it is going to lose the assembly polls being held now -- including in West Bengal.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines, Yadav responded to a question about the possibility of contesting the Uttar Pradesh polls in alliance with Congress and said, "INDIA bloc will remain, we will have Congress with us."
