Damanjodi,19/04:The inaugural edition of Panchpatmali Peripheral Villages Volleyball Tournament 2026 (PPVVT-2026) was successfully organised by Nalco mines team at Panchpatmali Bauxite Mines,Nalco from 17th to 19th April 2026,bringing together 24 enthusiastic teams from peripheral villages.This vibrant sporting event marked a significant step towards strengthening community engagement and promoting youth development through sports.The semi-finals and grand finale, held on 19th April 2026, witnessed tremendous excitement and participation. The occasion was graced by Hon’ble CMD of NALCO, Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh, along with distinguished dignitaries including Shri Amarendra Kumar Mishra, Executive Director (M&R Complex),Shri V.S.S. Anand, Executive Director (Projects),Shri Purusottam Mohanta, CGM (Mines), Shri Satyadev Arya, Senior Commandant, CISF and Heads of Departments and senior officials of Mines
In a thrilling and nail-biting final match between Upar Rangpani Village and Gunjiguda, Upar Rangpani Village emerged as the champion of the inaugural PPVVT-2026 tournament.
While addressing the gathering, Shri B.P. Singh encouraged all participants to prioritize health, teamwork and discipline, and to actively engage in such sporting events.Shri A.K. Mishra reaffirmed NALCO’s commitment to community growth, detailing key initiatives in education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.He assured the gathering that NALCO remains a dedicated partner in the development of peripheral villages.
