​RLD Slams BJP’s "Double Standards": Leaders Marry Daughters into Muslim Families While Oppressing Poor Muslims Across India
​Jammu: Mohammad Anees Choudhary, General Secretary of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), Jammu & Kashmir unit, has launched a scathing attack on the BJP leadership, questioning the glaring hypocrisy in their social and political conduct. In a powerful statement issued today, Choudhary pointed out the irony between the personal lives of high-ranking BJP leaders and the party’s political treatment of the Muslim community.
​"Equality for the Elite, Oppression for the Poor"
Choudhary stated that while several top-tier BJP leaders, including Union Ministers and Members of Parliament (MPs), have happily married their daughters into affluent Muslim families, the party continues to target poor and marginalized Muslims across the country.
​"We see a strange pattern where the daughters of big BJP leaders find homes in Muslim households through marriage. If these relationships are acceptable for the families of powerful politicians, why is the common, hardworking Muslim being subjected to hate and violence in the name of religion?" Choudhary asked.
​Questioning the Systemic Harassment
The RLD leader highlighted that across India, poor Muslims are frequently victimized through mob lynching, discriminatory policies, and the "bulldozer culture." He questioned why the BJP’s version of social harmony only applies to the elite and their personal alliances, while the common man is left to face state-sponsored intimidation and communal narratives.

​End the Hypocrisy: RLD demands that BJP leaders reconcile their personal family choices with their public political rhetoric.
​Protection of the Vulnerable: The party calls for an immediate end to the harassment of poor Muslims who are being targeted for political gain.
​National Unity: Mohammad Anees Choudhary reaffirmed RLD’s commitment to the "Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb" (composite culture) and the legacy of farmer-laborer unity.

"Politics should be based on justice for all, not on a system where the powerful can cross religious boundaries for their convenience while the poor are punished for simply existing.
