Bhumika Sharma, a Class 7 student at Government Senior Secondary School, Railway Mandi, who trains at the HDCA Centre, has brought pride to Hoshiarpur's young women cricketers with her selection for the Punjab Schools Under-17 Women's Camp.
HDCA Secretary Dr. Raman Ghai shared this news, stating that the seven-day Punjab Under-17 Schools Camp, organised by the Punjab School Education Board at Kharar, Mohali, will provide players with training from national-level coaches. He added that top performers at the camp will be picked for the Punjab Under-17 Schools Women's Cricket Team for the national tournament.
Dr. Ghai highlighted that the 12-year-old Bhumika Sharma is a promising young cricketer from Hoshiarpur. With the dedication and hard work she puts in under the guidance of HDCA District Senior Women's Coach Davinder Kaur Kalyan and Junior Coach Nikita Kumari, she is poised to bring glory to Hoshiarpur on national and international stages in the coming years.
HDCA President Dr. Daljit Khela, District Coach Daljit Singh, Coaches Parveen Kumar, Daljit Dhimaan, Dinesh Sharma, Pankaj Pinka and others congratulated Bhumika on her selection and extended their best wishes.
Dr. Ghai further noted that the HDCA Centre at Railway Mandi offers completely free training to players from Hoshiarpur district throughout the year. Aspiring cricketers can learn the nuances of the game under the supervision of BCCI national coaches and shine both personally and for Hoshiarpur.
