NashaMukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan: Awareness Programmes Held at GHS Draana & GHS Golad Mendhar

Continuing its intensified campaign under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, District Police Poonch organized two awareness programmes on drug abuse at Government High School Draana and Government High School Golad Mendhar.

The programmes witnessed active participation from students and staff members of both institutions. During the sessions, officers of District Police Poonch delivered thought-provoking lectures highlighting the growing threat of drug abuse and its far-reaching consequences on individuals, families, and society at large.

Participants were sensitized about the ill effects of substance abuse, preventive measures, and ways to safeguard themselves and others from falling prey to this menace. Emphasis was also laid on the importance of community vigilance and timely reporting to curb the spread of narcotics.

As part of the initiative, students and staff at both schools took a collective pledge to fight against drug abuse and contribute towards building a drug-free society.

District Police Poonch reaffirmed its commitment to the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan and emphasized that sustained awareness and community participation remain key pillars in eliminating the drug menace from the region.
