"A major update has come from Jammu. Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired an important meeting to review the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme, also known as PMIS.

This scheme, launched under the Union Budget 2024–25, aims to improve youth employability by providing structured internship opportunities in reputed companies.

Under PMIS, young candidates will get internships ranging from 6 to 9 months. The best part? Interns will receive a monthly stipend of ₹9,000 along with a one-time grant of ₹6,000. 💰

Officials from the School Education Department, Skill Development Department, and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs also joined the meeting. The focus was on expanding the scheme’s reach so more youth across Jammu & Kashmir can benefit.
