Janwadi Mahila Sabha to intensify membership drive/ Subhash Mattu
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/April 16
The general body meeting of the district Janwadi Mahila Sabha was held under the chairmanship of Madam Surinder Chumber. The meeting began with deep sorrow expressed over the untimely demise of Bibi Sayogta Khiva.
Releasing the proceedings to the press, Neelam Rani, district general secretary of Janwadi Mahila Sabha, Hoshiarpur, said the membership drive would be intensified. She announced greater participation in the ongoing agitation to restore the MGNREGA scheme.
The meeting condemned the oppressive policies of American imperialism and Israel, and expressed solidarity with the people of Iran.
Those present included Jaswinder Kaur Bora, Tejinder Kaur, Kashmir Kaur, Kamlesh, Kamaljit Kaur, Sinder, Bholi, Puja Manpreet Kaur, Annu Rana, Piaro, and Santi.
