A lot of political heat has been witnessed during the form verification of Taluka Panchayat elections in Vadodara district.
With the forms of Congress candidates on Karajan and Shinor taluka panchayat seats being canceled due to technical reasons, these two seats have gone uncontested to the BJP.
Shockingly, 'toilet' has emerged as the main reason for cancellation of forms in both these high-profile seats.


Vipulbhai, the husband of the Congress candidate, vented his anger in this matter and said, We have been staying there for years and there is a toilet facility. If there was no toilet, how could I have been elected as a Sarpanch in 2018 and my wife as a Panchayat member in 2021? The form was approved then, why was it canceled now?


Even in Shinor, the toilet itself was wasted


Similarly, BJP's Pramod Vasava objected to Congress's Ramesh Vasava for not having toilets in Shinor Taluka Panchayat Division-1 seat.
In this case the form was canceled by the officer during the face-to-face visit even though the Talati report stated that there was a toilet.
Congress has shown readiness to take legal action in this matter.

BJP's Kairveeba Jadeja has been declared unopposed from Ranoli seat of Vadodara Zilla Panchayat as independent candidates including Congress have withdrawn their forms.
