Two held for 'involvement' in firing at security personnel in Manipur

IMPHAL: (Apr 16) Security forces arrested two persons in Manipur's Churachandpur district for their alleged involvement in a firing incident in which a RAF personnel was injured, police said on Thursday.

The two were apprehended on Wednesday when security forces intercepted a vehicle in Rengkai area in the district.

"They were involved in an incident of firing towards security forces at Sielmat bridge in Churachandpur district, in which a Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel sustained bullet injury," a police statement said.
