RLD Leader Mohammad Anees Choudhary Slams BJP-RSS for "Politics of Hate," Alleging Neglect of J&K’s Core Issues

RLD Leader Mohammad Anees Choudhary Slams BJP-RSS for "Politics of Hate," Alleging Neglect of J&K’s Core Issues
JAMMU/SRINAGAR — In a scathing indictment of the current political climate, Mohammad Anees Choudhary, General Secretary of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Jammu and Kashmir unit, has launched a frontal attack on the BJP-led Union Government and its ideological affiliates.
Choudhary accused the ruling party and the RSS of abandoning the "mantra of development" in favor of a divisive agenda that targets minorities and suppresses the voices of truth.
Safety of Kashmiris Abroad: A Growing Concern
Choudhary raised serious alarms regarding the safety of Kashmiri students and businessmen operating across India. He questioned why BJP MPs and MLAs remain silent when Kashmiri youth pursuing education, or small-scale shawl vendors traveling from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, face harassment and hostility.
"The BJP talks about national integration, yet they fail to protect the Kashmiri students and traders who are the backbone of our grassroots economy. Why is there a deafening silence from BJP leadership when our people are targeted in other states?"
The "Politics of Diversion"
The RLD leader argued that the BJP has no substantive agenda for the public, relying instead on polarizing rhetoric to maintain power. Key points of his critique included:
Communal Polarization: Shifting the national discourse toward Hindu-Muslim divides, Mandir-Masjid disputes, and India-Pakistan rhetoric rather than addressing internal failures.
Neglect of Development: A complete absence of dialogue regarding employment (Rozgar), farmer welfare, and the crumbling education infrastructure.
Silence on Crime: Choudhary pointed to the disturbing trend of silence from BJP leaders regarding heinous crimes, including the rape of minors involving individuals associated with the party.
The Suppression of Dissent
Perhaps the most grave allegation leveled by the General Secretary was the "systemic silencing" of the opposition and activists. He claimed that across Jammu and Kashmir and the rest of India, the "Gunda Gardi" (hooliganism) of the ruling establishment has reached its peak.
Jail or Death: Choudhary stated that anyone who dares to raise the "voice of truth" is met with two outcomes: imprisonment or physical elimination.
Governance Failure: He emphasized that despite having numerous MLAs and leaders in J&K and across India, the BJP has failed to raise a single "Pukhta Mudda" (solid issue) that benefits the common man.
Call to Action
The RLD has called for an immediate shift in the political narrative, demanding that the government focus on economic stability and social harmony rather than "hate-mongering."
"The people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve development and safety, not just empty slogans and fear," Choudhary concluded. "The time has come for the citizens to see through this facade of hate and demand accountability for the lack of jobs and the rising lawlessness."
