UP boat tragedy: Punjab minister Arora visits families of victims

LUDHIANA: (Apr 12) Punjab Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora on Sunday visited the families of the victims of the Uttar Pradesh boat tragedy, which claimed 13 lives.

Arora visited the residence of Rakesh Gulati and his wife Anju Gulati, and separately the residence of Meenu Bansal and her daughter Dinki Bansal, who lost their lives in the tragedy, to offer his condolences and support the grieving families during this extremely difficult time.

A boat carrying tourists, primarily from Punjab, capsized in the river in the holy town of Uttar Pradesh on Friday afternoon. Thirteen people have died, while three more are still missing, officials said.
